Clegg: Clubs Which Ignore Financial Fair Play Taking a Big Risk Mon 07th May 2012 09:22
Blues chief executive Simon Clegg believes clubs will be taking a big risk if they chase the dream and ignore the Financial Fair Play rules which come in next season. Championship clubs voted in favour of the new rules last week but with sanctions for breaking them not enforced for two years.

Town boss Paul Jewell has told Grant Leadbitter that he wants to know whether the midfielder is going to stay at Portman Road in the early part of this week. Leadbitter, who has been offered new terms by Town having turned down a deal earlier in the season, is out of contract at the end of June and is understood to have been approached by Middlesbrough, while Brighton have also been linked.

Town have opted for Category Two in the Elite Player Performance Programme (EPPP) reorganisation of youth football which comes into effect this summer, but as reported by TWTD earlier in the month, could look to upgrade after promotion to the Premier League.
